He was named SWC Player of the Year in 1967, also earning all-conference and all-district selections. The Mustangs went 54-25 during his seasons on the Hilltop with a 33-9 league record. The day started with a balloon filled car and donuts! I dropped him at school to a decorated locker and desk! Then I took 3 of his favorite meals to school for lunch and Nothing Bundt Cakes for the class! I promised no candles and no singing... and then...the grand finale! We picked up Grayson and headed to Benihana!! Big goofballs! while there he had so many videos and texts wishing him a Happy Day!! But sweet Alice was just the best!! I hope today was a great birthday!  I tried to make it special Bud!  Making the most of EVERY DAY!! I love you!! Mommy PS - video from Wed chapel :)

He doesn't let me take many pictures... I have to steal them when I can... my boy... when he wakes... WILL BE ELEVEN! What. The. Heck! There is no greater joy than being your mama!!!! Happy Almost Your Birthday! Car is filled with balloons - CHECK! Locker has signs and balloons - inside and out - CHECK! Sign on his desk - CHECK! Bday lunch at school is set - CHECK! Cupcakes for the class - CHECK! and dinner at Benihana with Grayson - CHECK! Hopefully something (or everything) embarrasses him!!!

Among t-shirt, pimple popping game and candy... he gets a signed baseball from Timmy!! and I STILL think it's awesome that he too is #16!!!

When we pulled up, we were early.  Open field, football = FUN! I'm pretty sure they would rather do this.  And I have to tell you if his bday was in May... I would do a crazy obstacle course, football, something party outside!! Oh the horrible cake... #neveragain Not shooting my best friend!! Holt broke the rules just proving I was there making good use of the balloons! 11 in 11 days... I'm just so thankful but still, not ready! Thankful that these parents that don't know us well... all let their kids come.  Only missing 3 from the team, not bad!!
