A caroling we will go!

Image
Well, this pretty much sums up 2020... wouldn't you say?? LOL -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last night we were invited to Debby's... Will put hay in his truck and we drove around Countryplace singing Christmas carols and looking at lights. Next year I will get a group to carol if it kills me!!! We ran to Debby's and after they packed up... we went to pick up Mimi and Daddy Howard! I love her so much! and these little cuties! 'Lyssa was a tad chilly Emma Kate was all smiles! Ellie was jazzed Mimi even got in the back of the truck!  Good times were had by all! We bailed early because SOMEONE (no names mentioned here) had shorts on and was freezing... and, well, he's almost 12... he had enough of the girl time. LOL So thankful for friends that do the simple, fun, Christmas things that keep this season magical! Merry Christmas Eve Eve!!

Oh what a day!

It was a beautiful day today! I mean, it's December and I prefer my nose to be a little cold but when walking down to see Unkie and Aunt Sue... I'll take it! Baylor came with us and she loves one-on-one time!   After Trooper already had his at the dog park!! and after, of course, I spent some time dog sitting Charlie!!  Sadly, this will be his last Christmas. *SIGH* We grabbed burgers and drove down to this crazy house we heard about... Electric Lizzyland!! Packed with people so we masked up.... It's a tiny little weird house.  The oddest decorations you have ever seen... but fun! The Bumble's sign says "Easter is better" what to the what?? And this guy ... well, he's seen better days. LOL we grabbed TCBY yogurt and drove around Highland Park.  We had to convince Tristan that these are HOUSES... like people's homes.. not office buildings.  He was shocked! This was ONE of THREE gates! Then he yelled with delight!  "BROCCOLI TREES"... he has a ...

More Christmas awesome-ness

I love EVERYTHING about Christmas New decorations... new dog And then going to Vitruvian Park with our dear friends. Dinner outdoors and then walking, playing, laughing and looking at the lights!! Not the best pictures but they were dark... Then we caught the beaty of the night in the trese I love it here!  Miss not seeing vendors and Santa and food trucks.. but it's better than nothing! Then today, on the way to school we stopped the normal stop of donuts... instead of his bag of donut holes, they sent him out with this for free! We RACK'd someone their breakfast and someone else their lunch.   Please Lord, let THESE moments cement themselves in Tristan's brain!! It is TRULY better to give than to receive!

Making cookies and making the tiniest of memories!

Every blue moon, I can give him a face and he'll agree to do SOMETHING BORING with me. I remember when he loves all of it.  The silly stuff, the serious stuff, the movies, the pancakes, the decorating.  Sadly, that's all passing BUT I know somewhere in there.. he still likes it. So ... we bake. And by bake I mean to mix up the packaged  ingredients! LOL and they are ugly... but they are yummy and we DID have fun! Afterwards he always thanks me for making him do things. Last night we watched Jingle Jangle and while he pitched a fit about HAVING TO get off his XBox and watch a show... when I tried to turn it off, he pitched a fit.  Little moments. I'm stealing every, single one that I can. (Mommy Claus has eaten too many cookies!) I know my time with him is limited so I'm soaking up every single moment. I love every Christmas memory stored in my mind and I'm so thankful that you are willing to RACK and play along this Christmas season!!

Soccer tournament gets canceled!! :(

We lost Friday... but we were still able to celebrate Glen's birthday! Then Sat we had a big win! Sadly, today was a gully washer so the whole thing was canceled.  BUMMED but thankful I wasn't sitting in the freezing cold!!

Just RACK'ing

I really do love this and I hope that somehow it gives Tristan a love of giving back. Time to RACK Mimi and Daddy Howard... RACKing Aunt Debby... Saturday night soccer And then we RACK'd the soccer team and Coach Glen - the look on his face was priceless!! I absolutely LOVE giving. I don't like receiving that much... I should get better at that! HA!
