The Adventures of Tristan

Tristan doesn't know it but he's off to a trip of a lifetime.  His entire class is headed to the Buffalo River to hike, zipline, white water raft.... and hike in and hike out.  Tent camping and cooking their own meals. Going to be greatness! Here's the before. I'll be stalking Facebook for photos and info.. more soon! Have the best time Tristan! Noah, Tristan and Grayson are tent mates! They all love Mr. Spence! T & G with Jackson We each got assigned people to pray for Now... Mama's got some working out to do and some massive girl time!! I will miss you!! And I'll be praying like crazy!

 I CANNOT believe we are here? I'm preparing my child to walk across the stage .. into 9th grade he goes.  I'm not crying... you're crying!! Allie Hestwood and Tristan ... for their last graduation together - she's leaving TCA.  They have been together every year since Tristan was 5. *SIGH* (I secretly want him to marry here... here's to hoping cuz she's my FAVE!!!!)  I have a teen.  Wanna see me prove it. We went to dinner for Mother's Day and this is how much he wanted to be there with ME. Thankfully, Holt asked how it was going and I said not great (sent him these pictures) and I'm not sure what he said... but we ended up here. Being a teen is HARD and I know that.  You have a thousand emotions, you KNOW EVERYTHING.  You don't want rules, you want to be fully you and make your own decisions and did I mention you KNOW EVERYTHING? This child of mine is so much like me it's scary.  I pray that he only holds onto the good stuff. I love his wit and sarcasm but I'm not sure his wife will thank me for THAT! Holt bought me this tank and I busted out laughing.  Only thing better would have been to start with MOMMY. I wouldn't trade being his mom for the world.  And someday I will get the card that shows his love and emotion because he's doing for his kids what I did for him... he will get it. He will see every sacrifice,...

  Breakfast before the sock hop was so fun! Tristan you are such a pistol!  Wouldn't wear the glasses, whined about the jeans and white t-shirt... and I don't like dress up days either but if you have to do it...  GO BIG OR GO HOME! (Someday he might listen to me again!!!)
