Full House

One of the things I missed with Brittany and Rally was a house of kids...

Coming home from work, pantry raided and pretty much empty... because their friends were over.

T doesn't have that. He has friends but my house isn't filled with them.

Well, that was until Saturday.  Braeden spent the night, then the Mays all came over for the morning.

We hit the park, the pond, went on walks.. and had fun.  It was chilly but fun!





T said "it's like I really AM her other big brother" - yup... always has been!


then B left... and Cullen & Taylor left with Tracy.  Davis was dropped off and then I took these three goobers min golfing.  

Tristan was BESIDE himself happy




we dropped G home and had another sleepover.  Davis and Tristan just played and laughed and then crawled into my bed.  Once they passed out - I headed into T's room to sprawl out! Ha!

After Davis left Sunday - we finished book reports and posters.

Always thankful for a nice weekend and this was also a nice end to a boring spring break.  T is always the one that doesn't get to go anywhere - thankfully he doesn't care!

We've had a full week too 

Mon - a Baseball game
Tues - soccer practice, baseball practice
Wed - soccer game
Thurs - NIGHT OFF - skipped soccer
Today - early release so he has TCA soccer, then a baseball game
Sat - TCA and Grace soccer games and then NIGHT OFF

I need a nap!


Next week - Art Awards.  This kid amazes me!!

Well, I booked this trip for Spring Break of 2020 and Covid had other plans. I moved THREE time and prayed this weekend would stick - AND IT DID!!  We drove a long 5 hours to Fredericksburg, TX.  It's wine country but that's the last thing we had on our minds! I swear - I found this out AFTER I booked the house! look closer... and I was only looking for this! We only got in once for about 10 minutes... it was hot AND there were SO many bugs! We headed to dinner. It was HOT and we both had on bad shoes... the mile walk to and from Tubby's (gross food BTW) was not worth it.  LOL But then we say that we lived a few doors down from a jail. Very cool all the history in this German town!! I told Tristan it was a "YES WEEKEND" and I would say yes to anything he asked (within reason) and he made the most of it! Day 7 and 8

Well, the first two pics are from a very hard Day 7 I sat here... and bawled.  Tristan and I had choice words about his eating. Well, not eating.  His snacking.  It didn't go well.  I'll leave it at that.  I sat here.  Bawling.  Crying out to God to save us. To heal our land.  I told Him all of the things I CANNOT do.  Well not in my own strength.  I told Him all of the places I NEED to move out of.  All of the insecurities I have. All the things I have fought SO hard for that I'm fearful He is asking me to just forget about. I'm scared of His "NO". I'm scared that I'm being corrected or chastised for all of the decisions I've made until now. That I've just messed it all up.  But then, I remember that I'm just not that powerful.
