Another fun week!

Image
Tristan wrote a note in my prayer journal... praying we would make it to Boston... *SIGH* And he was a trooper when I made him come to Bring Your Kid To Work Day And he hid under my desk... just like I would have... This week was spirit week and we dressed up a few times... Red, White and Blue Day... well... we have a patriotic bank robber! and today was beach day.... Tonight is a sleepover with Davis.  He finds such joy in the small stuff and I am SO thankful for that.  I pray it's a weekend of fun, and rest, and smiles. We need some smiles. Thank you Lord for the blessings in our lives, help us see them.ALWAYS.  Amen.

Fun, fun and more fun!!

Tristan headed down to the lake on Friday ... he spent the evening with the big kids... just patiently waiting for the littles to arrive!! They love each other so much... it's just too sweet then we headed home, showered and passed out. Got up, headed to church only for him to hear Alice scream with pure delight when he walked in the door!! and... we stole the May boys and tried to swim in the freezing cold.  It didn't last long - crazy Dallas weather.  A few hours later, I tornado touched down in Ft. Worth!  NUTS!! Great news - Bumpa's hat was a great Father's Day success!! Today was much warmer and he had a play date with his buddy Hunter.  My friends know how to love me well - they take him to play for the day!!!! I'm so thankful that he has downtime.  I have to tell you I'm jealous... I miss summers and being a kid! Ya just don't realize how good you have it!!! I wish I had more time with yo...

The last day was a crazy one!

we spent 5 long, hot, FUN hours watching this kid warm up and play soccer in his first tournament. Tristan played great... He even scored!! So very proud to watch him run around a field.  He has a ways to go (that's what happens when you take off 2 years) but... he's picking right back up! Somehow we talked Tracy into letting G come with us... so we grabbed food, showered and headed to Rockwall for Lane's graduation party! Along the way, T knew he had to do a workbook page.  He was a little stuck - and where he was stuck, G stepped in and ready to him. How's that for a best friend!  At one point he just said... "It's ok to be stuck, I'll help you!!  If you come to TCA I can REALLY help you" It was SO very sweet... After a fun time with family, we ate, then we cleaned up and then I forced a few pictures. I felt like Kim would never forgive me if I didn't! We are SO very proud of you Lane!!! ...
