Fun, fun and more fun!!

Tristan headed down to the lake on Friday ... he spent the evening with the big kids...

just patiently waiting for the littles to arrive!!


They love each other so much... it's just too sweet


then we headed home, showered and passed out.

Got up, headed to church only for him to hear Alice scream with pure delight when he walked in the door!!


and... we stole the May boys and tried to swim in the freezing cold.  It didn't last long - crazy Dallas weather.  A few hours later, I tornado touched down in Ft. Worth!  NUTS!!


Great news - Bumpa's hat was a great Father's Day success!!




Today was much warmer and he had a play date with his buddy Hunter.  My friends know how to love me well - they take him to play for the day!!!!



I'm so thankful that he has downtime.  I have to tell you I'm jealous... I miss summers and being a kid! Ya just don't realize how good you have it!!!

I wish I had more time with you - every single day I wish it... but I choose to work hard and give you the best life I can... and hopefully that will mean everything.

Well, I booked this trip for Spring Break of 2020 and Covid had other plans. I moved THREE time and prayed this weekend would stick - AND IT DID!!  We drove a long 5 hours to Fredericksburg, TX.  It's wine country but that's the last thing we had on our minds! I swear - I found this out AFTER I booked the house! look closer... and I was only looking for this! We only got in once for about 10 minutes... it was hot AND there were SO many bugs! We headed to dinner. It was HOT and we both had on bad shoes... the mile walk to and from Tubby's (gross food BTW) was not worth it.  LOL But then we say that we lived a few doors down from a jail. Very cool all the history in this German town!! I told Tristan it was a "YES WEEKEND" and I would say yes to anything he asked (within reason) and he made the most of it! Day 7 and 8

Well, the first two pics are from a very hard Day 7 I sat here... and bawled.  Tristan and I had choice words about his eating. Well, not eating.  His snacking.  It didn't go well.  I'll leave it at that.  I sat here.  Bawling.  Crying out to God to save us. To heal our land.  I told Him all of the things I CANNOT do.  Well not in my own strength.  I told Him all of the places I NEED to move out of.  All of the insecurities I have. All the things I have fought SO hard for that I'm fearful He is asking me to just forget about. I'm scared of His "NO". I'm scared that I'm being corrected or chastised for all of the decisions I've made until now. That I've just messed it all up.  But then, I remember that I'm just not that powerful.
