The Adventures of Tristan

I can't admit how much I like my birthday.  Never have and I doubt I ever will. I don't like the attention really but I love being told I'm loved. Connie knocked it out of the park this weekend... We celebrated her 55th and my 50th at the Hilton Anatole. I brought a yummy Charcuterie board and food.. and of course.. the cocktails! and we watched movies and laughed the night away! The next day we took in all the local scenes at the hotel... (showing T she had an elephant experience too!) and a day of floating... and lounging...  (the scene of the drama!) Some sun and lots more chatting She just gets me.  She puts up with my annoying qualities and loves me anyone. She laughs, calls me out on my crap... and loves me like family I'm not sure HOW people make it through life without friends. I simply cannot.  You have walked me through some very dark days in these past 15 years and for that (and for a thousand OTHER things) I love you sooooo much CONNIE SUE OLIVER!!! HAPPY...

Well, I booked this trip for Spring Break of 2020 and Covid had other plans. I moved THREE time and prayed this weekend would stick - AND IT DID!!  We drove a long 5 hours to Fredericksburg, TX.  It's wine country but that's the last thing we had on our minds! I swear - I found this out AFTER I booked the house! look closer... and I was only looking for this! We only got in once for about 10 minutes... it was hot AND there were SO many bugs! We headed to dinner. It was HOT and we both had on bad shoes... the mile walk to and from Tubby's (gross food BTW) was not worth it.  LOL But then we say that we lived a few doors down from a jail. Very cool all the history in this German town!! I told Tristan it was a "YES WEEKEND" and I would say yes to anything he asked (within reason) and he made the most of it! I said "no" to something he asked for and he didn't miss a beat... he stopped and said "What mom?  I couldn't hear you?" That face... u...

Well after TWO long weekends and weeks... Mother Nature finally conceded and we played our hearts out. I have to be honest, I didn't think we could do it.  Emmanuel's concussion, Zachary was out and so was Asher... so we were down our best player and two others. But my gosh... THEY DID IT!!!!!!! THESE BOYS MADE CLASSIC!!!! The white board came out and Glen's plan was ON!!! SO many rain delays and canceled games... so much rain, so many muddy fields... but yesterday during the rain delay, God gave us this! and I bought snow cones!!! After the final win... the band of brothers After winning game 1!!  It's fun being the Team Manager... I can beg my way into photos!! Final photos! CLASSIC HERE WE COME!! Coolest shot of the day, I wish I took it! They've been best friends almost their entire lives...  I hope that carries through high school! The Grayson and Tristan show!!! So proud, and so thankful for this team!!   GO RENEGADES !!!
