Our last Christmas at the Gaylord

Christmas.  It's magical.  For the old and the young... it's got it all. There is just something about Christmas that I feel like can reach everyone.

Even (almost) teenagers!

We built a snowman... and laughed how we can build a whole family of them in NY!

but he was cute!

And we threw snowballs at targets... it's a tad more fun to throw them at each other...
but it was fun (just cold)

He has a great arm!

and decorated cookies... and nibbed
(not either of our favorites we prefer sugar!)

and the we helped Elf save Christmas!  Totally cheesy...

But moments of fun!  Played Christmas carols with our feet!

Then we were buddy the elf and pushed all the buttons!  So oddly satisfying!

We ate bad food and bought our 2021 ornament.

We ran around doing a silly scavenger hunt and taking goofy pictures

But I knew it was the last one.  He's outgrown all of it.  But all I could think of is how I haven't.  How Christmas still amazes me and makes me smile from the inside out. How I pray that he is a wonderful husband and wife and celebrates it like nobody's business. How the fun, spirit of Christmas can live inside of him and he can alway, always make it fun.

So far, he's learned these photos are mandatory and I don't even have to say "be goofy" he just does it!

But more than anything... I pray that he loves the Lord. That he loves what the true meaning of Christmas is.  That he gives of his finances a little and gives of his time, his energy and his heart A LOT. I pray I have instilled something that will last a lifetime.  May he always be Santa to the world, spreading Christmas cheer and by his actions spreading the love of Christ.

May all that I have invested... matter.
