Balfour Company Picnic at Six Flags

Image
Sue and Davis came to Six Flags with us... haven't seen them in 2 years! Balfour chose the perfect place (for me) for the company picnic! We had a deal.. you take pics with characters and we pay for games! HA! WORKED! T FINALLY rode all of the big boy coasters and LOVED them!  I finally have a roller coaster kid! We even upgraded to season passes and now can go with more friends!   SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! (I may be in traction tomorrow BUT I had a blast!)

The Kings of the school get a tour

Image
Next year these guys will be the kings of the school. Big 8th graders!  And I'm so jazzed to say, we made them that building!! 2nd  jobsite tour... and we might do one more when finished!  They all want to see Big Blue get thrown in the trash! Fully dressed in PPE and ready to go! (Tristan, Noah, Zachary, Trey, Trent, Grayson, Hunter & Aidan) David and Manuel took us all over and it was so cool to hear and see what we were doing! We saw plans and heard stories and snooped around.  This is a huge window that is going in... kind of a lounge area and it was SO cool!! We hit up the 2nd floor to see where the science and math wings were) after they got to go into the library which is a HUGE storm shelter! AMAZING and I forgot to get a picture! David asked if they wanted to see anything else and they said the roof.  He said no.  Then the collective "sighs" got a yes out of his somehow and next thing I know, I'm on the roof... ...watching Aidan win flip ...

The struggle is real.  We went through a global pandemic.  I mean  TWO YEARS.  If you had told me what was coming I would have broken in two. If you told me I would lose friends over masks and a shot I would have thought NO WAY... but I did.  If you would have told me that I would survive... pretty much alone with an about-to-be-a-teenager.. I would have doubted you.  But I did.  But it cost me.. a lot. We lost 2 years of baseball. TWO YEARS and because off that.. or maybe because of my choices, my son sits  the bench. It is gut wrenching. This school has no interest in him as an athlete. I mean he made the team by the skin of his teeth - I'm not even  sure he gave  it his all butt he was nervous and obviously behind.  I am second guessing every single choice I've made iin the last two years.  Is this MY fault, should I have nixed soccer and insisted on baseball. Should i have put him on that other team with kids he would ...
