The Adventures of Tristan

Well, last week - Jack Blocker, a TCA Grad placed 3rd in American Idol and he came to TCA to say hi and do his hometown visit.  Tristan was less than impressed but I thought it was pretty darn cool! Congratulations on 3rd place!! Friday night we headed to TCA to watch TenFifteen play in one of their last games of the year. The boys showed off their new summer team's soccer jersey and all the while cheered on Coach Lloyd and T's buddies that he practices with. Manny couldn't be there but we got a shot with Coach McKinley Then Sunday, was Buddy Up Tennis and it was SO FUN! Camila was an awesome athlete and taught us a thing or two!! And Aimee and Griffin Bloom were there and I got to surprise Connie and Everett Shultz when they were there serving too!  Love seeing friends and serving with friends.  Such a gift!! Note to self... Have Tristan wear his shirt! hahahahaha

I don't have to check Life360 much, yet... T isn't driving.  I trust my son, but if he misses curfew, or if he's not answering texts, I can at least see that he is ok.  Or where he is if he's not ok. Will there be consequences for being late? Sure. Missing curfew? Of course... and it made me think... once he graduates.  He's gone. There will be no more of this.  We won't both be home and it won't drive me insane that he doesn't charge his phone. Hopefully less gaming = less drained battery but who knows. It's normal for him to leave.  It's normal for him to run off into his big beautiful life.  I only had him for a season, and what a season it was. I miss you already Tristan - BUT I can't wait to see you fly! Love you Bud, Mom

 I have been dying to take Tristan to his first concert. And man, did I choose a great one! We bought great seats and then Bill decided we were going to sit in the suite... so there were more boys that could come and some free food and drinks (which is nice!) Sent this to my dad! Tippi was happy! they were cute! Megan Maroney... I lost a $20 bet that I still have to pay up! That weird little skirt stayed on all night - thought for sure she'd end up in those sparkly shorts Hunt and I laughed our butts off after Uncle Kracker came out it was (hubba hubba) Zac Brown Band - I didn't even recognize him!  When they played When The Devil Came Down to Georgia (SO FAST) I was in awe. It was AMAZING! THEY WERE BETTER THAN THE LAST TIME I SAW THEM! Obviously this video only plays if you are online - not the book! Last Friday, Lisa, Tracy, Chris and I all landed at the same time. I ordered an Uber and went around and picked them up! We gave big hugs, dropped our bags and headed into the bag next door to meet the girls that had driven in! Covid just about took me out this round (not really, but it was bad) and I almost had to miss the trip! We died laughing because this went off 15 minutes into our arrival! We were all ready and headed up to see Karen. But day drinking... and NYC = NY PIZZA! OMG it was the best lunch I've had in a loooong time!  Just like I remember it!! We kind of forgot to grab it for the other four!! We arrived and Tracy, Lisa, Jen and Treva were already up there.  Karen was nervous I could tell but also happy.  I immediately hugged her and she was so happy to see everyone.  After a few minutes we told her we would take a walk.
