Whirlwind of a trip - Family, Ark Adventure... and a sad little fall

Zach and family arrived and man, my mom was happy!

Siena & Lewyn loved her house!!

We arrived a few days later and while she was in shock at T's height... she loved wrapping herself around him and giving him a big squeeze!

We brought Mom over for some pool fun!

And broke out the gifts we sent... bubbles galore!

And Mom loved her time with the littles!

Monday the three of us headed off to the Ark Experience.

My mom couldn't see well, but we tried. I read her a lot, Tristan wasn't overly interested in reading but we pushed my mom all over the place and she seemed to love the adventure!

Even got out of her chair to take a picture in front of "Noah's" front door!!

We saw bunches of animals and bought Christmas ornaments...

The Ark was HUGE!!!!!!!!!!

And I was reminded of how amazing God is and His plans are perfect. I can now truly see how they all lived on the Ark and survived.

We even rode a virtual reality ride. She couldn't see much, but mom was a great sport and she tried.

Tuesday was our babysitting day!

Then, we got the call Wed morning... she fell

Off to the ER we went.  Everything checked out and we headed back home.  She rested.. and we went back to play with kiddos. Sad mama couldn't come.

Wed we checked on Mama.. more banged up :( but in good spirits

So plans to have Grammy over had to change ... but I checked on her a lot!

Lewy was cool with fireworks and Grammy bought T a little pack...

He was legit Lewy's hero

We celebrated the best we could

And it wasn't lost on me the good and the bad of the holiday.

Uncle John has been gone 4 years. Seems like yesterday.

It was a fun AND exhausting trip

Last night was movie night, some big boy fireworks... early bed

Then Friday was time to say our goodbyes. I try not to think about it too much but it's always sad knowing the next trip she may not know us.

Grateful for what I DO have.  Thank you Lord!
