Tristan was off camping and being 100% boy... he is worn out!!! While I watched my niece grow up before my eyes HOCO 2019 Not sure why I look so terrified! I LOVE GRADY!  Kinda hope they last. And I only sorta kinda threatened to kill him if he hurt her... LOL Good dude right there. Happy Last Homecoming Hadly. Still navigating my "role" in your life.  I love you so much and am so proud to be your Aunt!

It's been rocky at times... But we're fighting out way through Way to go Bud!!

God uses the missed moments to make us stronger- our cracks are our strength

I missed it.  He asked me to go ... I said yes. I MISSED IT. I dropped him at 7:35am, saw all the cars and (of course) my mind was in a thousand places (as was his) and we both forgot. I hate missing. I hate missing anything because I know better than to not soak up every sweet moment from his childhood. I've leaned on the side of depression these last few weeks at the weight of it all. At the weight of not knowing how to parent a teen in this horrid world.  This disgusting opioid-filled, porn-filled, gun-toting kid-filled world. My counselor said to me yesterday "Do you need to know TODAY"? Kind of stopped me in my tracks.  No, I guess I don't. But I like to be prepared. I LIVE to be prepared.  I'm not a fearful person in general but when it comes to T, I walk in fear a lot. He brought me this gift when I picked him up at his friend's after a play date.  He said, "here you go mom, I made you this!" Playdates help... ...

Random awesomeness this week

G came over... and the boys put duck poop in the pool... Y had a soccer game the next day... and decided just to yank out a tooth! I said "DUDE - now the tooth fairy can come!"   He said "Mom, I know it's you... can I just have $1??" I busted out laughing and gave him $5 because it's funny... and it's the last tooth I'm paying for. (yes, I already miss that.  Oh and he thinks it's disgusting that I saved his teeth!) Then I saw his athletic career flash before my eyes... He has to run a mile every week.  It was hard... but he survived This is all going WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too fast!! Sunday was church and time to serve. Alice screamed when she saw me. It was AWESOME. She's my best coffee buddy and I love her so much. I took her to pick up Tristan in his class and again... she screamed bloody murder.  The boys all said "I didn't know you had a sister!!" He just laughed and said ...
