We escaped for two weeks... and boy was that needed

We couldn't do much because of quarantine... but seeing my sister, Lee and Mom did much for us mentally.
First, we got a new picture of Trooper- THAT was exciting!

We could have done without the 13-hour drive...

the way down, we stopped midway and camped...

We woke up and hit the road again...

after I stared at this cutie for a while..

We dropped Holt off at Hidden Ridge and headed to my sister's

The Wookiee and I quickly became best friends!

Baylor ended up meeting and LOVING her FUR COUSINS...

Gave me hope that she will tolerate Trooper!

We washed up Holt's nasty truck...

And Tristan fell in love with Remmy - AKA - EL CHOMPO

We swam a lot

smiled  a lot

Snuggled some

and lost bets so Uncle Lee was forced to do Pilates...

I got some good time with my boy

and we picked on Grammy because she is about to be the shortest one in the family again!

Uncle Lee invested in Tristan  BIG time!  Taught him a few chores...

"He worked haaaaaaaaard for NO MONEY!"

and played hard and earned ice cream!

He was loved on A LOT!

and we were lucky to meet a new fur family!  Grammy isn't even a chicken anymore!!

Mama and her baby x 2

T camped for 2 nights...  I missed him but he seemed to have fun

We drove back home yesterday and while it wasn't fun - it seemed MUCH faster than on the way there.  Thankful to be home.  Getting ready for the craziness of life - praying for health and some balance in the midst of a scary world.  I don't know how to navigate all of this but I'm trying.  Time to REALLY lean into God... I think some big changes are coming... bumps waters ahead, just praying they aren't shark-filled waters.

But God....

and Lord, THANK YOU for the break.  I worked half of the time but it was just good to be away and be with family.
