Merry Christmas to us! We have a baby in the family again!

Image
It was a busy holiday in Kentucky.  Had a few bumps, thankfully no bruises... and the baby made everything awesome!! We did a lot of lounging... got silly and had our annual visit to the Christmas house! Gwen and Ruben (Ruben's first Christmas experience - LOL) We saw Santa! How the person taking this picture didn't say anything is beyond me! Lots of baby snuggles... T was the Lewy whisperer! This little angel charmed us all!! I think Grammy is wrapped around his finger! And he loved GG Joe's sauce!  FIST BUMP! I tried my usual shenanegans! he sort of played along! "Feeding at the zoo" was the best part of our day - we gathered around like ding dongs just to watch! I mean... come on! Lewy loves Poppy But he and T have a thing.... These songs are now earworms...forever stuck in my brain! We ended the trip with a lot of cards... and some spoons.. I got killed here... BUT beat everyone in Dutch Blitz... even with one arm behind my back - LITERALLY! We will miss this...

Cc:  Barber, Julie Subject:  Thank you.....   Team,   Happy New Year! As we bring a close 2021 I just wanted to drop you a quick note and say thank you for another GREAT year! I am beyond appreciative of all the hard work, dedication and sacrifices made by this team during the year. The year brought its share of challenges; Delta, Omicron, vaccine mandates, strikes, supply chain issues, rising insurance costs, a war for talent, crazy escalation and finally the DoJ outcome.  Yet, we as...

Our last Christmas at the Gaylord

Christmas.  It's magical.  For the old and the young... it's got it all. There is just something about Christmas that I feel like can reach everyone. Even (almost) teenagers! We built a snowman... and laughed how we can build a whole family of them in NY! but he was cute! And we threw snowballs at targets... it's a tad more fun to throw them at each other...  but it was fun (just cold) He has a great arm! and decorated cookies... and nibbed  (not either of our favorites we prefer sugar!) and the we helped Elf save Christmas!  Totally cheesy... But moments of fun!  Played Christmas carols with our feet! Then we were buddy the elf and pushed all the buttons!  So oddly satisfying! We ate bad food and bought our 2021 ornament. We ran around doing a silly scavenger hunt and taking goofy pictures But I knew it was the last one.  He's outgrown all of it.  But all I could think of is how I haven't.  How Christmas still amazes me and makes me smi...

7th Grade Boys soccer WHITE ELEPHANT

Image
We threatened and they played along... and we got a few great pics! Sherry and I stole the entire soccer team and headed to her house for some pizza, cookies, snacks and a white elephant game! The "after" And they laughed a lot...  because I mean... a horse head! and this one FINALLY stole! toilet paper and money! The flamingo was the biggest hit... it danced! and there was A LOT of poop!! see what I mean... and some Bob Ross fun! (which they left and we will grow into the new team mascot!) So thankful for Sherry and I can't believe I didn't get one photo of her in her cute antlers! Love these kiddos and so thankful for fun!

A quick trip with T to College Station

Image
Well, I know these trips are probably over... but he made the most of it with me. I threw in a "YES DAY" and while it was expensive, it was worth it! This reminded me of Jordan, so I texted him thanking him for his service. My dad too.  So grateful for my freedom!! Just proving I was there! Blue lips from a VERY blue slushy! Last stop... petting zoo! They were all drug drunk but it was fun seeing them! Sometimes I can talk him into this stuff! On the way down, we stopped at BUC-EE's.  Man that was expensive! But worth it! We made a quick run over to College Station.  Texas A&M is AMAZING!  Holy cow.  In a lot of ways the area reminded me of Auburn.  We didn't park and walk around.. it was drizzly and ugly and SOMEONE didn't want to. I told him the story about the bonfire... so very sad to have such a loss.  1999 was a hard year there.   He has decided it's either A&M or Baylor.  That ought to cause quite the stir in this fa...
