Today was a busy school day, and everything is "dorky" so I did what I could get away with...

He was ok with balloons... so I stole some from his balloon arch!


He promised not to be grumpy... and he kept his word!


but he sure was a sleepy teen!


Cards flew in...



and lottery cards...


and more money even though my family all donated to the Man Cave (more on that soon!)

Then after the game as we were headed to dinner... T got a quick squeeze from Tippi!  


Then these goofballs enjoyed Benihana with us! Thanks for coming Noah!!

(Sadly, Grayson was sick so tradition was broken - but we will make it up to them!)


Blew out some candles and called it a day.


Party is in two weeks.  Poker, cake, and a lot of friends sleeping over.  Pray for me. I'm going to have A LOT of teenagers!  Love it though!  I have always wanted to be THAT house!!!

Well, I booked this trip for Spring Break of 2020 and Covid had other plans. I moved THREE time and prayed this weekend would stick - AND IT DID!!  We drove a long 5 hours to Fredericksburg, TX.  It's wine country but that's the last thing we had on our minds! I swear - I found this out AFTER I booked the house! look closer... and I was only looking for this! We only got in once for about 10 minutes... it was hot AND there were SO many bugs! We headed to dinner. It was HOT and we both had on bad shoes... the mile walk to and from Tubby's (gross food BTW) was not worth it.  LOL But then we say that we lived a few doors down from a jail. Very cool all the history in this German town!! I told Tristan it was a "YES WEEKEND" and I would say yes to anything he asked (within reason) and he made the most of it! Day 7 and 8

Well, the first two pics are from a very hard Day 7 I sat here... and bawled.  Tristan and I had choice words about his eating. Well, not eating.  His snacking.  It didn't go well.  I'll leave it at that.  I sat here.  Bawling.  Crying out to God to save us. To heal our land.  I told Him all of the things I CANNOT do.  Well not in my own strength.  I told Him all of the places I NEED to move out of.  All of the insecurities I have. All the things I have fought SO hard for that I'm fearful He is asking me to just forget about. I'm scared of His "NO". I'm scared that I'm being corrected or chastised for all of the decisions I've made until now. That I've just messed it all up.  But then, I remember that I'm just not that powerful.
