Merry Birthday Tristan!

 Aunt Connie does it again!  She went overboard.  We found the same trampoline that the Nunnally's had on sale.. and she went for her.  She told me that the only reason she was doing a big one was because she handn't bought T anything for his bday or Christmas in two years. I'm not sure that's true... but ... you can't argue this stuff with Connie!  Plus, I would have done the same thing!

We were sneaky and she hired this guy to set it up while T was in playing...

Merry Birthday!  The sign is ingenious!


I ordered us dinner, so we all ate and chatted... 
we decorated after and then we were ready to go!

There was looots of singing





and lots of hugging... and BIG smiles!!


Trooper wasn't sure if this was fun or scary so he was losing it...

Tried to jump up a few times, one he hit his face and bounced off. The net threw him for a loop


Lauren got in and they laughed and finally perfected the high five!!!

I took everyone for ice cream... my first experience with rolled ice cream...

A LOT of work for the same taste. LOL


These two are like siblings.  She has always loved him and taken care of him...



So very, very thankful... they are my only family here and I am not sure where I would be without them!!

Well, I booked this trip for Spring Break of 2020 and Covid had other plans. I moved THREE time and prayed this weekend would stick - AND IT DID!!  We drove a long 5 hours to Fredericksburg, TX.  It's wine country but that's the last thing we had on our minds! I swear - I found this out AFTER I booked the house! look closer... and I was only looking for this! We only got in once for about 10 minutes... it was hot AND there were SO many bugs! We headed to dinner. It was HOT and we both had on bad shoes... the mile walk to and from Tubby's (gross food BTW) was not worth it.  LOL But then we say that we lived a few doors down from a jail. Very cool all the history in this German town!! I told Tristan it was a "YES WEEKEND" and I would say yes to anything he asked (within reason) and he made the most of it! Day 7 and 8

Well, the first two pics are from a very hard Day 7 I sat here... and bawled.  Tristan and I had choice words about his eating. Well, not eating.  His snacking.  It didn't go well.  I'll leave it at that.  I sat here.  Bawling.  Crying out to God to save us. To heal our land.  I told Him all of the things I CANNOT do.  Well not in my own strength.  I told Him all of the places I NEED to move out of.  All of the insecurities I have. All the things I have fought SO hard for that I'm fearful He is asking me to just forget about. I'm scared of His "NO". I'm scared that I'm being corrected or chastised for all of the decisions I've made until now. That I've just messed it all up.  But then, I remember that I'm just not that powerful.
