Shoulder Surgery.... CHECK!


Well, that is what I looked like the last time I straightened my hair... and then Zach, Casey, Gabe, Theo, Jude and Remi Loyd walked into my house.

Could have died... buuuuuut they wanted to meet Trooper, and then this is what they got.  They sat down in the back yard, played some darts and hung out.  That was humbling because I looked like that the entire time! hahahahaha!

Next day - surgery day!

Tippi drove me to my surgery and checked me in.  

7/16 - favorite day of every month!  That has to be a good omen!




Then we went back and got ready!


Oddly, I started getting nervous.

Then, Leslie came in and my heart immediately calmed!

Then her boyfriend Jeff sent this prayer and she read it over me.  I cried


It was perfect and wonderful and I was ready!

They injected my arm and next thing you know... I'm back!

And I look like this! hahahahaha

Not sure why I have an "x" marks the spot on my forehead! LOL




Time to get dressed and go home!


Let's go!  Drug drunk and all!


then I am home and ready to eat!

Leon sent dinner that night and Deadra dropped it off so it was a double bonus!

I even got Dr. Cooper's signature!


My ITAV friends sent flowers, my LGG group sent flowers, Katelyn set up a meal train and I have had food every single night.  Sherry had Jill bring me bakes ziti that is SO yummy and I've eaten 3 different days!

Then Michele Liu even drove T to camp (minus Noah) and then drove me home from PT.  THEN, she gave me a GC for a mani / pedi so I could have something nice FOR ME.

What a blessing! The Lord has forced me to rest. He has forced me to allow people to serve me. Leslie and Heather have emptied my dishwasher, Heather and her kids walked my dogs, Lisa came and brought me and omelet and washed my hair.  My friends have driven me and T's friends have come and emptied water, fed dogs, and done things around the house. Erica and Leslie both stayed with me almost a full day. I was HORRIFIED and felt like too much and the entire time - they were HAPPY to love me and my gosh... it has started to change my way of thinking.  I AM A GOOD FRIEND AND I HAVE GREAT FRIENDS.

I am blessed.

Now, I need to get healthy. Look out physical therapy, here I come!

Well, I booked this trip for Spring Break of 2020 and Covid had other plans. I moved THREE time and prayed this weekend would stick - AND IT DID!!  We drove a long 5 hours to Fredericksburg, TX.  It's wine country but that's the last thing we had on our minds! I swear - I found this out AFTER I booked the house! look closer... and I was only looking for this! We only got in once for about 10 minutes... it was hot AND there were SO many bugs! We headed to dinner. It was HOT and we both had on bad shoes... the mile walk to and from Tubby's (gross food BTW) was not worth it.  LOL But then we say that we lived a few doors down from a jail. Day 7 and 8

Well, the first two pics are from a very hard Day 7 I sat here... and bawled.  Tristan and I had choice words about his eating. Well, not eating.  His snacking.  It didn't go well.  I'll leave it at that.  I sat here.  Bawling.  Crying out to God to save us. To heal our land.  I told Him all of the things I CANNOT do.  Well not in my own strength.  I told Him all of the places I NEED to move out of.  All of the insecurities I have. All the things I have fought SO hard for that I'm fearful He is asking me to just forget about. I'm scared of His "NO". I'm scared that I'm being corrected or chastised for all of the decisions I've made until now. That I've just messed it all up.  But then, I remember that I'm just not that powerful.
