Last day of being 16
These pics are from the soccer tournament this weekend. I love nothing more than to watch him play... 16 years has gone by in a flash. So many moments remind me of my high school days... but others... it feels like we have nothing in common I hold fast to these memories and these moments. The ties that bind us. The things that keep us close and make us "the same" at 16, it's tough. You want nothing to do with me really, and that's incredibly FOREIGN to me. It's always been me...and you! But, you are fighting back and making a way for yourself in this world. you are taller than me.. smarter than me... stronger than me... faster than me... But you don't love as fiercely as I do. Not yet at least. But some day, you will chase after someone with more drive and conviction than you do that ball. You will get up early not because you have to, but because you want to. You will put in the hard work because you love more than you dread You will be a part of somethin...
