And just like that, I'm 49!

I'm really not sure HOW this happened but I just turned 49!  Wasn't I 32 like 5 seconds ago??


Lots of emails and texts today - and it was SO fun! Even the chairman of our company remembered!!

Sherry and the kids came to meet Trooper BUT they also brought gifts and treats... and then Julie Hamilton did the same!!  

Then work sent a gift card and cookies (thank you Deadra, I know that was all you) 

and then Connie sent two dozen cookies and ice cream!  Sheesh!

these are the joys of working from home. SO MUCH  flexibility but still getting it all done.

I know it won't last forever, but for today... on my 49th birthday... I am thankful.

Well, I booked this trip for Spring Break of 2020 and Covid had other plans. I moved THREE time and prayed this weekend would stick - AND IT DID!!  We drove a long 5 hours to Fredericksburg, TX.  It's wine country but that's the last thing we had on our minds! I swear - I found this out AFTER I booked the house! look closer... and I was only looking for this! We only got in once for about 10 minutes... it was hot AND there were SO many bugs! We headed to dinner. It was HOT and we both had on bad shoes... the mile walk to and from Tubby's (gross food BTW) was not worth it.  LOL But then we say that we lived a few doors down from a jail. Day 7 and 8

Well, the first two pics are from a very hard Day 7 I sat here... and bawled.  Tristan and I had choice words about his eating. Well, not eating.  His snacking.  It didn't go well.  I'll leave it at that.  I sat here.  Bawling.  Crying out to God to save us. To heal our land.  I told Him all of the things I CANNOT do.  Well not in my own strength.  I told Him all of the places I NEED to move out of.  All of the insecurities I have. All the things I have fought SO hard for that I'm fearful He is asking me to just forget about. I'm scared of His "NO". I'm scared that I'm being corrected or chastised for all of the decisions I've made until now. That I've just messed it all up.  But then, I remember that I'm just not that powerful.
