Last week of January was "fun"

You don't have to be so cranky!


Baylor has a weird little tumor growing in her eye.. if it gets any bigger (it's grown, so I'm sure it will) she'll have to be knocked out and have it removed.  Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah (said with complete sarcasm)

Then two days after T was recovering from a nasty virus... he gets the flu!


and of course... has to miss his first JSB! The boys all looked handsome
and Iris had to miss too because she was sick so I guess somehow that made it more tolerable!


Someone got his license in the mail... that was exciting!

So handsome!!!


And I dragged myself to a musical with a great group of women!




and I only wanted to scratch my eyes out twice!

Tough end to January... but we made it!  All's well that ends well!

Well, I booked this trip for Spring Break of 2020 and Covid had other plans. I moved THREE time and prayed this weekend would stick - AND IT DID!!  We drove a long 5 hours to Fredericksburg, TX.  It's wine country but that's the last thing we had on our minds! I swear - I found this out AFTER I booked the house! look closer... and I was only looking for this! We only got in once for about 10 minutes... it was hot AND there were SO many bugs! We headed to dinner. It was HOT and we both had on bad shoes... the mile walk to and from Tubby's (gross food BTW) was not worth it.  LOL But then we say that we lived a few doors down from a jail. Very cool all the history in this German town!! I told Tristan it was a "YES WEEKEND" and I would say yes to anything he asked (within reason) and he made the most of it! Day 7 and 8

Well, the first two pics are from a very hard Day 7 I sat here... and bawled.  Tristan and I had choice words about his eating. Well, not eating.  His snacking.  It didn't go well.  I'll leave it at that.  I sat here.  Bawling.  Crying out to God to save us. To heal our land.  I told Him all of the things I CANNOT do.  Well not in my own strength.  I told Him all of the places I NEED to move out of.  All of the insecurities I have. All the things I have fought SO hard for that I'm fearful He is asking me to just forget about. I'm scared of His "NO". I'm scared that I'm being corrected or chastised for all of the decisions I've made until now. That I've just messed it all up.  But then, I remember that I'm just not that powerful.
